    How do I log in to my course?
    To access your course please go to eLearning Courses and use the Client Log-In feature at the top of the page.

    Type your Username in and Password in boxes provided and click the arrow button. (Please note that Usernames and Passwords ARE case sensitive. Be sure to type them exactly as shown in your registration email.)

    How interactive are eLearning courses?
    Very! The courses offer interactive exercises, animations and audio.

    How much is tuition? Are there any discounts if I purchase more than one program at a time?
    Tuition varies from course to course, depending on the length and complexity of the subject matter. To find out the tuition of a particular course, click eLearning Courses, find the course you are interested in at the bottom of the page, and click on it.

    Discounts are available for corporate buyers wishing to purchase 25 or more 'seats' for eLearning courses. Please contact your regional office for more details.

    How do I register? Will I get some kind of confirmation that my Registration is approved and completed? When can I start the class?
    You can register for an eLearning program using our secure registration system, or you can contact your regional office. If you register online, you will receive a confirmation email with your username and password. You may start anytime after receiving your username and password.

    What do I need to do to pass the course and earn a New York Institute of Finance eLearning certificate?
    Students with a cumulative exam average of 70% or better are eligible for a NYIF eLearning Certificate of Completion, which confirms that you are qualified to take the next level class whether on-line or in a traditional classroom.

    Are there alternative payment methods to credit card, i.e., billing my corporate account, firm check, personal check, etc.?
    Accepted forms of payment:

  • Credit Card payments via web, phone, fax or email.
  • Personal checks, money orders and firm checks via mail.
  • We will gladly bill your firm's existing credit account as long as we have approval from your authorizer/manager.

    How do I get the results of my exams?
    Students receive instant feedback on all practice exercises and exams. All exam scores are also kept on file in the course grade book.

    NYIF eLearning courses are eligible for CE, CPE, CLE and CFP credits.

    How much time do I have to complete the course? Can I extend the completion time without paying the full registration fee again?
    eLearning course subscriptions run for a period of 90 days, beginning on the date of registration. Subscription extensions are available for an additional fee.

    Can I print out online courses for offline study?
    The NYIF eLearning courses were designed to be completed 100% online. While you may print any single page for note taking purposes (print as you would any web page), there is no way to mass download or print entire elearning modules.

    Will I receive any books or other hard copy materials with my online course?
    The NYIF eLearning courses were designed to be completed 100% online and there are no external or hard copy materials required.

    How do the eLearning Professional Certificate Programs work? How do I register for an Online Certificate Program?
    There is no need to formally register for the eLearning Professional Certificate Programs. You may apply any qualified eLearning courses taken within a 2 year period to one of the programs listed here simply by sending an email to support@nyif.com with the following information:

      1. Your name as it should read on the certificate
      2. Your postal address
      3. The 6 courses taken, completion date and final grade
      4. The name of the Certificate Program you are applying the completed courses to

    Can I get a discount on an Online Professional Certificate Program?
    If you are willing to commit to completing an Online Professional Certificate Program and select/purchase your courses up front (rather than as you go), then discounts on combined tuition are available. You will still have 2 years to complete the Certificate Program. Please contact your local sales representative for more details.

    I have prepaid for my Online Professional Certificate Program - how do I activate my next course?
    To activate your next course, either call 212-641-6616 and speak to the Registrar, or email support@nyif.com and make your request. Be sure to include your name, elearning portal username and the name of the course you would like to have activated. Your activation should be completed within 1 business day of the request.

    I have completed all the required courses for my Online Professional Certificate Program. How will I receive my Final Certificate?
    You must request your Final Online Professional Certificate (it will not be sent automatically) by sending an email to support@nyif.com with the following information:

      1. Your name as it should read on the certificate
      2. Your postal address
      3. The 6 courses taken, completion date and final grade
      4. The name of the Certificate Program you are applying the completed courses to
