Jay Chapin

Practical Experience:


Jay Chapin is a New York Institute of Finance faculty member specializing in the assessment and communication of credit risk for major financial institutions around the world. Mr. Chapin spent 12 years with JPMorganChase as a team leader and relationship manager. As a Vice President with JPMorgan, Mr. Chapin was the International Manager of Financial Product Education for the Investment Bank and the Regional Manager of Undergraduate and Graduate Entry Level Training.

Mr. Chapin has a broad range of classroom instruction and course development experiences. He teaches a full compliment of credit risk courses focusing on historical analysis, forecasting, debt underwriting and capital structuring. As an instructor, Mr. Chapin has taught diverse audiences in North America, Europe and Asia. His teaching expertise extends beyond entry-level training to include impactful, engaging programs for mid-career professionals and seasoned executives.

In addition to this important sales and client management experience, Mr. Chapin has also managed problem loan workouts and restructuring.
