NYIF Teams With Security Traders Association To Provide Online and Instructor-Led Courses

New York, NY - July 30, 2008 - The New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) has formed a strategic partnership with the Security Traders Association's STA University (STAU), which provides continuing education to its 5200 members in areas critical to their continuing professional development.

STA members will have access to NYIF's more than 175 hours of online learning, covering over 25 financial area topics, including back office operations, derivatives, equities, credit, risk management, corporate finance, and many others. All courses earn professional continuing education credits.

The partnership will expand to include NYIF's Virtual Classes, web-based environments that allow students to participate in live training events without traveling. Students listen to lectures, participate in exercises, ask questions, and receive feedback just as they would in a conventional classroom setting.

STA members receive a discount on NYIF courses, and can register directly through the STA University sites -- www.securitytraders.org; www.stauniversity.com - or through NYIF's website for virtual and public instructor led courses, http://nyif.com/virtual.

"STA members, already well-versed in their fields, need to stay on top of the latest information, trends, and developments in the finance sector," said Pat Sparacio, Managing Director, NYIF. "Our courses cover a wide range of topics and are taught by experts in their own right, including Ralph Acampora, NYIF's Director of Technical Studies. We look forward to helping these professionals add to their knowledge base, discover new paths to innovation and ingenuity, and continue to meet their career goals."

NYIF is working with Lisa Utasi, Chair of the STA's Education Committee, and James Duncan, a Founder of STA University, to bring this collaborative effort to STA.

"Today's announcement greatly expands our current course offerings at STAU, and increases the unequaled educational value we offer to our membership," said Utasi.
